Understanding of the World: Talk to your child about the differences between animals that live over and under the ground - what physical features do the underground animals share? What are the similarities and differences between animals that live above the ground? Try to think of other animals and ask your child whether they are normally found over or under ground.
Creativity / Communication: Help your child to make up a story about the creatures, children or him/herself, using the puzzle to help prompt him/her.
